Overview
One-Mission-at-a-Time (OMAAT) Project is a one-stop shop caravan of services which range from medical, legal to personal care for the people in Geographically Disadvantaged Areas who have poor access to healthcare. This project was initiated to provide the services from community to another.
Health is a basic human right but during the COVID-19 Pandemic, a lot of institutions have closed their doors to people to prevent the spread of the virus. Many people were also prevented from getting their basic health care and personal needs due to this threat; They even have to walk kilometers of roads and pay a costly fare in order to seek medical aid.
Launched in 2022, The OMAAT Project was able to serve 4,918 individuals; 8 Barangays; and 3 towns in Cebu and Bohol. JCI Metro Cebu Uptown will continue to serve the people in areas with poor access to health to help them fully recover from this pandemic. The Project will provide more services to augment the goals of DOH and WHO for a more sustainable years to come and to address the inequitable resources by serving those who needed more help and assistance through partnership and building linkages.
